Born Theodore Alexander Long on March 1, 1980, in the small town of Bemus Point, NY; located just south of Buffalo. Austin, TX based singer/songwriter, Teddy Long, got his first guitar at 14 and almost immediately began writing songs. Though it wasn't until 2006 that a drunken coin toss would lead to him to Austin and ultimately, to the start of his career as a singer/songwriter.
"It wasn't an option, where I come from - playing guitar and singing songs is a hobby you do in the basement - or if you're lucky, you get to play 'Brown Eyed Girl' or Bon Jovi on the weekends in some little corner bar for tips and beer. It wasn't something you do as a career".
Working as a bartender by day and a musician by night, Teddy Long has built a strong and loyal following in Austin. He has shared the stage with the likes of Jack Ingram, Paula Nelson, Django Walker and Texas favorites, Two Tons of Steel.
